This is an interview for ED 6220, Castleton University and Dr. Ric Reardon with Principal David Wells, Underhill Elementary School. It concerns a special education student and legal implications. The interview was conducted by Jennifer Fischer and Chuck Connelly, Associate Directors of Special Education for Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union in Bennington, VT.
.
This was a Field Assignment in which class members were to interview a school superintendent, special education director, principal, or other school official in a position of administrative responsibility who has experienced a situation with actual or potential legal consequences and produce a product and analysis of the situation..
In our assignment we used Google Hangouts and Google Air to create our digital product. Google Air records a Google Hangout live and directly to You Tube. We edited the video with Windows Movie Maker.
Both this Google Blog and the Ask the Expert project above are good examples of what Grace E. Smith would call: Differentiating Instruction through Interest. This is from the book Differentiating Instruction with Technology, K - 5. You can check this book out digitally through Scribd.
