Revisiting Audio File Creation from Google Sites

Been awhile but I've played today with downloading an audio bumper file from the folks at podsummit.com/freemusic. The file is called In Suspense. Stored the file on a Google Site as a type of file cabinet for these kind of files. Helps tease out the code which I then placed on my Assistive Technology Options for Teachers blog. Like I said, been awhile, but it's good to see it still works. Looking to play with sites that offer free audio stingers, bumpers and drops to play and edit. Audio Feed for the post is here From here you can download the file as needed. Relationship to UDL: UDL (Universal Design for Learning) recognizes and promotes that all students should have multiple ways to represent and produce information. This could include digital options such as text, audio, video, mind-mapping and even cross-platform options such as text to speech and speech to text. For students who struggle with word recognition or sentence composition on paper or even the fine motor skill of putting a pencil on paper and forming letters, audio recording and editing give them a different option to represent notes and information. It also demonstrates a facet of multi-step problem solving to represent information. Next: Options for file recording in the classroom.
