Mr. Blackbird's PE High Ropes Course

This picture is an example of linking a photo from an iPad and then uploading it directly to the FHUHS Assistive Technology Blog via Picasa. The connection is direct and opens up to the right page when you log in.

Practice Audio Review

A number of students are currently working on recording audio using an Olympus digital recorder or using the iTalk program on an iPad. Below is an example of a class recording that was then edited and shortened in Audacity. For the final assessment students will need to show some basic proficiency in audio recording and editing.

Blog Button Practice

Students this week spent a chunk of time working on two technologies identifiable to many as "trendy." One of the skills they worked on was the development of QR codes for our iPad Stand Manufacturing Project. (DTC Manufacturing) Next, students linked these codes (which were placed on flyers and signs around the school) to their individual blogs.

So the idea here was when someone used an iPad or other smart phone to scan a QR code, the link would take interested folks to a student blog, who was part of the manufacturing team. Once there, a prominent button told consumers to click on "The Button"

to order their new iPad stand. After clicking on the button, interested students or teachers were taken to an order form created from Google Forms to order their stand in real time. The order form was shared with all members of the manufacturing team.
